The Benefits of LaserCap
LaserCap is a powerful, effective laser hair restoration treatment that can be used at home on your terms. With 224 pulsed laser diodes, LaserCap covers the entire head for a completely natural-looking, even pattern of regrowth. Laser technology has long been used for hair restoration at clinics around the world. Today, LaserCap lets you take that power home.
No Incisions, No Scarring
LaserCap uses the power of laser light to stimulate hair regrowth at the cellular level. Because it’s not a hair transplant, no surgery or incisions are necessary. This method provides maximum discretion and gradual, natural-looking results.
Convenience & Ease
Once you undergo an initial appointment with Dr. Hasen, you can take LaserCap home to use on your own. LaserCap is rechargeable, and it can be discreetly hidden under your favorite hat — whether it’s a baseball cap or a beanie. Dr. Hasen will recommend a treatment schedule based on your hair type and level of hair loss. For most patients, a single 30-minute session every other day is enough to kick-start the regrowth process. Use LaserCap on your commute, at the gym, or while watching television at home.
Customized Treatment
LaserCap has been shown to improve the quality and quantity of hair on its own, but it may also be used as a supplement to other hair restoration techniques, such as PRP therapy, ROGAINE® (minoxidil), or PROPECIA® (finasteride). LaserCap can also benefit patients who have undergone a SmartGraft® procedure with Dr. Hasen. LaserCap will prevent further hair loss following a hair transplant. LaserCap has been shown to be effective on both men and women.
The LaserCap Procedure
Because LaserCap is used at home, patients only need a consultation and introductory appointment to get started with a treatment plan. At Hair Restoration of Naples, Dr. Hasen recommends LaserCap to most hair restoration patients, either as a supplement to surgical hair restoration or on its own. Once Dr. Hasen develops a treatment plan, patients are scheduled for follow-up appointments at the 6-month and 1-year marks to monitor their progress.
The Benefits of PRP Therapy
Platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) therapy is an exciting medical innovation that has been used with great success in restoring hair growth in thinning areas. Dr. Hasen combines the power of platelets from your own blood with the rejuvenating properties of stem cells to further enhance this powerful treatment.
No Risk of Infection or Allergy
There is no risk of rejection or an allergic reaction. PRP Therapy is a natural and nonsurgical solution for hair restoration that uses a patient’s own blood. Plasma, which contains platelets that have numerous growth factors, is extracted from the blood and used to stimulate the follicles. The added stem cells are harvested from pre-screened, healthy donors and are biocompatible and non-allergenic.
High Success Rate
This option is effective for many patients, especially women. You may begin to notice the results about 3 months after your procedure, although the full effects may not be visible for about a year.
No Downtime
Your scalp may be slightly red and sore near the injection sites after treatment, but this resolves quickly. Thus, PRP hair treatment does not require any downtime or recovery. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.
The PRP Procedure
First, your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge that separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood cells. The stem cells are then thawed and combined with the platelet-rich plasma. Then using a very fine needle, the PRP and stem cells are carefully injected into the areas of the scalp that are thinning. Typically, patients undergo 3 treatments spaced about a month apart to achieve optimal results. many return once a year for a PRP treatment to maintain results.
